Joinery

The layout and cutting of joinery is key to a successful timber frame.  Mortis and tenon, dovetails, and splines are just a few of the joints used.  Each is held together with handmade wooden pegs. Housed knee braces prevent any lateral movement in the frame.  The result is a free-standing wooden structure, free of any metal fasteners.
