Enclosing the Frame
Several
methods can be used to enclose a timber frame.
The first is to build a conventional stud wall around the frame.

The
most popular and energy efficient way to enclose a frame is the use of
structurally insulated panels (SIPS). SIPS
make it to enclose a frame in a gap free blanket of insulation that is free of
thermal breaks (found in conventional stud walls).
SIPS come ready to assemble, all window, door, and electrical chases are
already cut in place. SIPS allow us to enclose a building in a matter of days
instead of weeks, and offer long term energy saving.
